Qualifications: I hold a PhD in mathematics from University of Michigan (2014), where I studied under Mel Hochster. My doctoral thesis topic was ideals generated by principal minors. During grad school I was the primary instructor for five courses, from Pre-calculus to Differential Equations.

I most recently taught at Centre College and was a professional mentor for ICERM (Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics). I have also held faculty positions at Georgia Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, James Madison University, and University of Arkansas, and I have directed undergraduate research at Georgia Tech and SLMath (Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute, formerly Mathematical Sciences Research Institute).
